Youth Association for Habitat with the partnership of United Nations Population Fund has been advocating, especially in recent years, youth friendly policies and pioneers the development and spreading of information to youngsters in our country regarding sexual and reproductive health(SHRH).


In order to promote youth's sexual and reproductive health and help them to protected themselves from STDIs and HIV/AIDS, UNFPA, Youth-Peer Network and MTV is running a global youth awareness and advocating campaign. As the Turkish representative of this global campaign, with the support of UNFPA Turkey, Levis, Youth for Habitat and MTV Turkey, the first National Youth Advocate Campaign, 'A Youth Story' has been launched.

The spokesmen for the campaign are Kargo music band's vocalist Koray Candemir and program producer Defne Sarisoy .

One of the goals of the campaign is to inform young people about SHRH and to make them more sensitive on this subject in order to make them more careful, responsible and use their own rights better. The main goal intended to be reached in this campaign is to force policy makers to include SHRH education in elementary and secondary school's curriculum.

During two years within the context of campaign 7 regional and 1national advocacy training had been implemented. And 250 youngsters was brought up as local advocates.
In addition to this, campaign is going ahead with edeucation based activities.
