Youth Leadership Academy Project was realized in İstanbul in cooperation of İstanbul Governorship, United Nations Development Programme and Youth for Habitat. Academy is an institution that was commenced with a protocol signed in 4 July 2008 in order to develop vision, talents and capacities of young people with non official trainings and contribute to youth policy.
Objectives:
With Youth Leadership Academy that we determined the target group as young people between 15-30 ages, we aim:
- Capacity development on sustainable development, social responsibility, participation and democratization and source development
- Support creating national youth policy in Turkey
- Facilitate and follow application process of youth policies
- Create a platform for youth workers, experts, international youth leaders and decision makers
Training context:
Youth Leadership Academy personal development trainings are supported with seminars, workshops and group works. Within the personal development trainings, participants take trainings about communication, philosophy, social responsibility and volunteering, creativity. In addition they find an opportunity to participate in seminars that are given by experts of different subjects. |
