Denizli Habitat IT Academy has been opened, 3 April 2009

The “Empowerment of Youth for E-transformation in Turkey Project” launched in order to increase the computer literacy and the using of information Technologies by young people with fewer social benefits is growing. İn the framework of this important breakthrough implemented by Youth for Habitat Association with the partnership of TC Prime Ministry State Planning Organization, the United Nations Development Program and the Microsoft Turkey with National Youth Parliament,  IT academies are opening in different cities. The last of these academies which are open to everyone who wants to gain knowledge in computer and internet usage has opened under the name of Denizli Habitat IT Academy with the support of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality after the meeting managed at the Youth Parliament of Denizli Municipality City Council on 03 April 2009 at 14:00 hours.

An important support came from the Denizli Municipality to “Empowerment of Youth for E-transformation in Turkey” social responsibility campaign ongoing with the aim of providing the basic computer information to 100 thousand young people between 15-25 years old in our country. Under the protocol signed with the Denizli Municipality, a room of the Youth Parliament of Denizli Municipality City Council by getting fully equipped became  the Habitat IT Academy. The governor of Denizli Yavuz Erkmen, Denizli Municipality Mayor Nihat Zeybekçi, the Provincial National Education Director Mahmut Oğuz, the president of Youth for Habitat Association Sezai Hazır, National Youth Parliament Advisory Board Member Ayhan Soyfidan, the Youth Parliament of Denizli Municipality City Council members and the Coordinator of The “Empowerment of Youth for E-transformation of Turkey Project Basak Saral and the volunteer teachers of the Project in Denizli joined to the opening ceremony of the academy.
