The Development of Civil Society dialogue between the European Union and Turkey 2 Presentation Meeting, 5 May 2009
The last of promotion meetings organized by the Secretariat General for EU Affairs for the second of the “Development of civil society dialogue between European Union and Turkey Grant Program” was held in Istanbul on 5 May 2009. At the half-day meeting managed in Emninönü Public Education Center, the information about cooperations in the field of “Agriculture”, Fisheries” and “Culture-Arts” which are covered by new term Grant program and the application conditions that must be considered was given. Elif Memiş joined to the meeting for Youth for Habitat Association.
An extra information for those who would like to benefit from this Grant funds: The projects that includes more people effectively to culture and art activities for raising the awarness which is one of the priorities in the field of Culture and Arts are encouraged.
In addition, throughout to all grant funds the applications including small-scale local NGO’s will be considered in priority. Besides, in all applications at least one partner from European Union member countries is conditioned. The organizations who need to find a partner can take advantage from the database available on the website of the “Development of Civil society Dialogue Grant program” and the Embassies in Ankara.
The application guide of this Grant program is currently in the preparatory stage and it will be shared as soon as possible in the website of the “Development of Civil society dialogue Grant Program” (www.csdproject.net) and the Secretariat General for European Union affairs(www.abgs.gov.tr) .
During the meeting Seval Işık from from the Secretariat General for European Union affairs, gave information to participants about the other funds within the scope of the development of Civil Society Dialogue between EU and Turkey. These funds and their scope can be summarised in the following way:
1) Micro-Grant Program: This is a Grant program that will award small-scale projects which will serve to Civil society Dialogue and its designed for one-time activities. Seminars, conferences, symposiums and workshops are between these activities. The Grant amount that will be given per project is between 5000-10000 euro. The applications for the Grant which can award all projects within the framework of harmonization with European Union will be available in 3-4 months periods. The application form and guide will be published on the website of the “Development of Civil Society Dialogue Program” (www.csdproject.net).
2) Grants for Translation Services: You can apply to this Grant in order to get consecutive and simultaneous translation support for the meetings concerning Civil society Dialogue subject.
